Senshin Buddhist Temple has been an essential community ally, supporter, and incubator for Nobuko Miyamoto's work and for Great Leap. Miyamoto's long-term collaborations with Rev. [Mas Kodani], former Senshin abbot, resulted in xx bon-odori songs and choreographies to date. Miyamoto's first community dance classes were held at Senshin in the 1970s. Many of Great Leap's artists and supporters have connections to Senshin, including [George Abe], [Donna Ebata], and many more. The impact of Rev. Kodani's and Senshin's long-term commitment to Miyamoto's work cannot be overstated: it models how essential a key community partner can be for a non-profit organization.
